I was honored to provide a micro-talk at Game Devs of Color Expo 2020. Many indie devs I meet struggle with building their presence on social media while juggling creating the game, working, and taking care of family. I've worked in content and social media marketing my entire career and also fielded inquiries from devs as a games journalist.

Georgia Game Developers Association Panel: Designing Non-Toxic Gaming Communities

I swear — anytime I get to work with GGDA and their awesome community, it feels like home. I had the privilege of sitting on a blockbuster panel of game industry professionals to talk about how game design can be used to promote friendlier and harassment-free communities. We discussed how to create safe virtual spaces that are enjoyable for all players, with a focus on game mechanics that encourage community-oriented behaviors.
